Mehran Mesbahi
Mehran received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in 1996. He was a member of the Guidance, Navigation, and Analysis Group at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, from 1996 to 2000 and an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics, University of Minnesota from 2000 to 2002. He is currently a Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Adjunct Professor of Mathematics and Electrical Engineering, Executive Director of the Joint Center for Aerospace Technology Innovation and holds the Endowed University Professorship in Control Systems and Networks at the University of Washington. He is a fellow of IEEE and co-author of the book “Graph Theoretic Methods in Multiagent Networks” published by Princeton University Press. He received the NSF CAREER Award in 2001, the NASA Space Act Award in 2004, the UW Distinguished Teaching Award in 2005, the UW College of Engineering Innovator Award in 2008, and the Graduate Instructor of the Year Award in 2015.
